What the ledger proves — and what it does not

It demonstrates provenance

That a finding was made, on which passage it rested, what was proposed, who decided, and when — retained with the matter and exportable with it.

It does not certify correctness

Evidence integrity is different from model correctness. A ledger can show the history of a conclusion; it cannot establish that the conclusion is legally right. That remains counsel's judgement.
